The President of the Republic of Srpska, \u017deljka Cvijanovi\u0107, has attended the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska tonight in the Banski dvor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic pointed out that the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska was created in difficult times for the Serb people in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn this day, exactly three decades ago, the first newscast of RTRS was broadcast from the Banja Luka studio. Shortly after that, the following month, the broadcasting of \u201cKanal S\u201d from Pale started, and at the end of 1993, a joint system of transmission and broadcasting of the Serb Radio Television programs was established\u201d, the President of Srpska pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President Cvijanovi\u0107 stated that this would be the shortest way to describe the process of birth of the public service of the Republic of Srpska, but that everyone knew that there had been much more effort behind this great undertaking than it could be described in two sentences, as well as personal and collective engagement and courage, commitment, expertise and patriotism of those who participated in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd when I say that, I mean the management and the editorial board, as well as employees such as journalists, cameramen, editors, sound engineers and other diligent people on whom the program of every television is based. It is their merit that we are here today and that we are celebrating this important jubilee, and that is why we, as a society, owe them eternal gratitude\u201d, the President of the Republic emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of Srpska pointed out that the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska was a direct witness of turbulent and important historical events during the Defensive and Patriotic War, and its journalists regularly reported from the front lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd precisely the credibility, significance and reputation that RTRS enjoys throughout the Republic derive from these unbreakable ties with the Republic of Srpska, which is only three months older than its public service\u201d, said President Cvijanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic stated that a lot has changed in the 30-year history of RTRS, but serving the public and the citizens of Srpska, as its essential role and mission, remained a trademark of this television house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am proud of everything we have done together in previous years to improve the conditions and modernize our public service. In technical, technological, personnel and program terms, the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska has grown into a modern media house, capable of responding adequately to all professional challenges\u201d, the President of Srpska emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President Cvijanovi\u0107 expressed her belief that the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska would continue the path of development, objective and timely informing the public in the following period as well, and in accordance with all standards of modern reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
