A meeting of delegations of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of Hungary has been held in Banja Luka today, led by the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orb\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this occasion, the President Dodik said that the Republic of Srpska was honored by the visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orb\u00e1n and the delegation with whom they discussed friendly relations based on real development needs in various spheres of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic emphasized that a joint statement was signed, which would be the basis for the development of specific jobs in various spheres, from health, economy, energy, education, communications, traffic, everything that represents a common interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are ready to be partners in the new developed Balkan policy of Hungary, which is focused on cooperation, understanding and appreciation, which we cannot see on some other sides. The dialogue that we will conduct today and in the future is based on developing the ways of that cooperation in the best possible way\u201d, said the President Dodik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic said that the main topic was how to move forward, to develop capacities, and the field of energy is something that we want to see as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are looking for joint projects and I am sure that we will be successful in that regard\u201d, said the President Dodik, and also mentioned the construction of roads, as well as to see what can be done together in the development of pharmaceutical factories, and to try to see the possibility of joint wood processing projects and wood industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic added that Srpska is following what the Government of Hungary is doing in the area of demographic policy, where it is proving to be the most successful, and wants to implement certain activities on that front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI want to thank the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orb\u00e1n, for improving the status of the Serb community in Hungary, which showed a much higher level of support than some other countries\u201d, said the President of Srpska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President Dodik emphasized that he is also pleased with the global development of good relations between Hungary and Serbia and that Srpska, as part of the Serb people, wants to be part of an integrated project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic said that on this occasion they thanked for the incentive within the support project in the field of agriculture of 100 million euros, stating that 30 million are being implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first phase, the President of Srpska noted, is already being implemented, but there will be an opportunity to demonstrate it just in two or three weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe thanked for the understanding shown at the beginning of the year when we had provided the necessary funds to support the budget, which enabled us to function stably all this time and that our institutions work flawlessly\u201d, emphasized the President Dodik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Republic added that he is grateful to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orb\u00e1n, for his support to BiH\u2019s European path, and that he had the opportunity to inform him on certain political developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe didn't waste a lot of words on that, because I think it's far more important to focus on the issues of projects important for the common future\u201d, said the President of the Republic of Srpska on this occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During today's visit, after the meeting of the delegations, the President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Vi\u0161kovi\u0107 and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 signed the Joint Declaration on the Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of Hungary, in which the two parties confirmed their intention to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between institutions and economic entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
