NATIONAL HOLIDAYS

The Republic holidays are marked by displaying the flag of the Republic of Srpska on all public institutions, and the institutions of the Republic of Srpska and Republic bodies, bodies of local self-government units, companies and other organizations do not work.

  • Day of the Republic, January 9
  • January 14
  • International Labor Day, May 1 and 2
  • Victory Day over Fascism, May 9
  • Day of the Establishment of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Dayton Peace Agreement), November 21

Working holidays are marked by celebrations and special ceremonies, but these holidays are not non-working. On Sava’s Day, the Government of the Republic of Srpska organizes the Saint Sava Academy.

  • Day of the Ministry of Interiors of the Republic of Srpska (Day of the Police of the Republic of Srpska), April 4
  • Day of the First Serbian Uprising, February 14

The religious holidays of the Republic of Srpska refer to the holidays of all denominations in the Republic of Srpska.
