The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, has met today in her office with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Matteo Mecacci.
Current political and economic issues in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, reform processes and other important issues were discussed at the meeting.
The President Cvijanović informed her interlocutor about the constitutional position of the Republic of Srpska and the overall situation in BiH, and emphasized that understanding and internal dialogue of domestic political actors were necessary to overcome the current political crisis.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović pointed out that viewpoints and position of the Republic of Srpska on the issue of the electoral legislation were clear, pointing out the necessity of respecting the Dayton Agreement and the principle of the constituency of the people.
