The meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, and the Prime Minister of FBiH, Fadil Novalić, was held in Sarajevo. The Prime Minister Radovan Višković has stated today that he expected very soon the abolition of the excise tax on petroleum products for a period of six months, which had been adopted by the deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
He said that the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH anticipated the announcements from the Republic of Srpska regarding excises, and now the second stage of decision-making was expected and it would be seen how it would end.
The Prime Minister Višković said that Srpska had proposed the issue of banning the export of roundwood from BiH.
He stated that it was said at the meeting that the Council of Ministers should make a decision next week on the abolition of customs duties for the import of fertilizers from third countries.
- The most important thing is that the two governments and the Council of Ministers do everything to control the flow of supplies of the domestic market with basic foodstuffs and energy sources, primarily oil and oil derivatives. At this moment, BiH is not endangered on that issue, but no one can predict what will happen in the next period, and we have therefore agreed to take measures together and work on mitigating possible blows - the Prime Minister of Srpska pointed out. He also added that it was agreed to pay more attention to domestic production. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija said that it was stated that at the moment we were facing the problem of prices on the domestic market, which would probably continue for some time, and that there would be no shortage of any product, regardless of whether it was food or energy sources. - We will try to act through margins, the entity governments adopted it a year ago. Then, through interventions from stocks owned by the entities, subsidies of certain products, including energy, for the most endangered categories of society, and interventions related to tax policy, of which excises are a part - stated the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija. He added that it was important to support spring sowing. - It is very important to increase agricultural budgets and allocations for regressed fuel, as well as for the procurement of artificial fertilizers and raw materials - said the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers. FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said that the crisis required harmonization of measures at all levels of government, saying that there was no room for panic because there were enough food and energy suurces. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac.
