The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, together with the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, the Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, have organized a meeting today in Banja Luka with the heads of all institutions, administrative organizations, public companies and ministries.

At the meeting, dedicated to the current political and economic situation, it was emphasized that the Republic of Srpska and its institutions are stable in every sense, regardless of the political challenges facing the Republic of Srpska, and especially in the context of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding state property.

Explaining the current situation, the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik emphasized that the battle for state property is a battle to preserve the constitutional position of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Dodik pointed out that the political leadership of the Republic of Srpska firmly stands by the defense of the constitutional right of the Republic of Srpska to dispose of its property, and that they will not give in under any pressure, no matter who it comes from.

- The single response of the authorities to the increasing pressure from representatives of the international community is a guarantee that in the future the Republic of Srpska will remain a stable and functional community in which our people have a free and safe life - emphasized the President of the Republic of Srpska.

Speaking about economic indicators, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that public finances are stable and that the Republic of Srpska records good financial indicators.

- Regardless of the political challenges we are facing, the Republic of Srpska records positive trends in most key economic indicators, including the state of public debt, which amounts to 41.1 percent of gross domestic product, while the legal maximum is 56 percent. Likewise, record values have been achieved when it comes to the coverage of imports by exports, which reached 80 percent. The average salary in the period January-May this year is 1,255 KM, which is 15.7 percent more than the same period last year and is significantly higher than the inflation growth in that period, which was 10.5 percent. These positive indicators are accompanied by a significant number of 12,000 new employees, while the total number of employees is 290,237 and is the highest so far - the Prime Minister pointed out.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić emphasized that it is extremely important that the political parties of the Republic of Srpska have a unified response to the attempts of its constitutional disempowerment.

He emphasized that it is of crucial importance to pursue a unified policy and that only in this way can the constitutional position of the Republic of Srpska be defended.  

The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, pointed out that the increased pressure on the Republic of Srpska calls for increased responsibility of the heads of all institutions of the Republic of Srpska.

She said that the goal of today's meeting is for leadership to get acquainted with the current political situation, and that this practice will continue in the future.
