ANTALYA – The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik met with Miroslav Lajčak, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue, on the first day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where they discussed the situation in BiH and the situation in Ukraine as well.

- The Republic of Srpska is neutral on the issue of Ukraine and we stick to it. We have an absolutely positive attitude towards the Ukrainian people, we are sorry for the suffering, but we also think that this conflict is the result of global turmoil, which occurs in Ukraine between the West, NATO and a defensive position that Russia itself has, and it is clear to all. Ukraine is more of a collateral damage - said Dodik, RTRS reports.

In addition to the reflections of the crisis on the economy, Dodik pointed out that he also discussed political issues in BiH and the Balkans with Lajčak.

- This was an opportunity to explain some of our views to him. A hysterical approach that the Brussels administration has towards BiH in its efforts to show everything in black and white. They also declare our effort to act in accordance with the Constitution as essentially unconstitutional. My role was to explain that this was not the case. What we are doing is all supported by the constitutional position. We will continue with that policy and we will not succumb to that general hysteria, which is also due to the conflict in Ukraine - said Dodik.

On the first day of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Milorad Dodik will also meet with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and Slovenian President Borut Pahor.

According to the protocol, Dodik’s working breakfast with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is planned.

The Bosniak member of the Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, as well as the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, are also participating in the forum.

According to the summit agenda, Dodik and Džaferović will address on Saturday, March 12, within the panel of leaders “Future of BiH”, it was announced from the Presidency of BiH.
