The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Serb member of BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović have met today in Banja Luka with the newly appointed ambassadors and consuls general of BiH from the Republic of Srpska, as part of the final preparations for departure and assumption of duty.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and Serb member of BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović informed the ambassadors and consuls general from among the Serb people about the complexity of the current situation, various pressure mechanisms and attempts to delegitimize the Republic of Srpska.

The belief was expressed that the Serb diplomats will represent the interests and foreign policy positions of the Republic of Srpska, in accordance with the original postulates of the Dayton Agreement, and it was emphasized that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska are at their disposal.

The newly appointed ambassadors and consuls general from among the Serb people informed the interlocutors about the activities and plans for the upcoming diplomatic engagement, and emphasized that they will make a full contribution to the improvement of all forms of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the countries where they are deployed.

The importance of economic diplomacy was also pointed out, and it was stated that the role of the Serb diplomats, in that context as well, is very important for the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency wished a successful diplomatic service to ambassadors and consuls general Milorad Živković (Romania), Siniša Berjan (People's Republic of China), Obrad Kesić (UN Brussels), Bojan Vujić (UN Geneva), Dragan Vuković (Republic of Greece), Bojan Đokić ( United Arab Emirates), Vera Sajić (Stuttgart) and Tatjana Telić (Chicago).
