The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that the indoor swimming pool in Trebinje, which was officially opened today, was one of the largest sports infrastructure facilities built in recent times. The Prime Minister pointed out that this was an investment worth more than 14 million KM and a complex covering more than 10.000 square meters.

He expressed satisfaction that a magnificent Olympic-type facility had been made available to the citizens, which would be able to satisfy the needs not only of Herzegovina, but also of the Republic of Srpska in terms of international water polo and swimming competitions.

The Prime Minister Višković emphasized that swimming as a sport would return to Trebinje in the coming period.

“The tradition of swimming and water polo here is more than 70 years old, and we hope that, with this complex, the conditions for training, work and promotion of our new talents will be at a high level”, said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska. He pointed out that he was proud of the Republic of Srpska, Trebinje, “Elektroprivreda”, the Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Trebišnjica River, emphasizing that this generation made this facility available to the citizens of Trebinje and Herzegovina. The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, and the Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, have officially opened the indoor swimming pool in Trebinje today. The opening of the swimming pool was attended by the Minister of Family, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Srpska, Sonja Davidović, the Director General of “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske”, Luka Petrović, and numerous guests. The construction of the swimming pool was financed with 13 million KM by the company “Hidroelektrane na Trebišnjici”.
