Members of the Presidency of BiH welcomed the exceptionally good and friendly political relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey, which are accompanied by intensive high-level visits. Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey have no open issues, and the most important areas of bilateral relations are legally regulated, which is a good basis for improving already good bilateral cooperation.
Minister Akar conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the members of the Presidency of BiH and the intention to continue friendly relations and cooperation in all fields between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey.
He reiterated his strong support for the stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed readiness to respond to any request for assistance and cooperation addressed by Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey.
Speaking about cooperation in the field of defense, it was said that it is at a satisfactory level, as evidenced by numerous signed agreements, and those that are in the preparation phase and which regulate this sphere. Minister Akar expressed readiness to continue cooperation in the field of education of members of the military forces, in military exercises and in the demining process.
The members of the Presidency of BiH thanked the Republic of Turkey for its continuous and friendly support and assistance, and emphasized the constructive role of the Republic of Turkey in the Western Balkans region.
