The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, has met today in her office with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH H.E. Mr. Olav Reinertsen. 

The current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, as well as possibilities of improving cooperation in various fields, were discussed at the meeting. 

The interlocutors exchanged views on internal political processes and open issues that burdened relations in BiH, as well as the situation in the Western Balkans. 

Regarding the current political situation in BiH, the President of the Republic pointed out that consistent respect of the international law, the Dayton Peace Agreement and the BiH Constitution was essential for the long-term stability of BiH and the full functionality of joint institutions.

On this occasion, the President Cvijanović emphasized that institutions of the Republic were committed to preserving peace and stability, as a condition for economic growth, investments and progress.

The interlocutors stated that there were many spheres in which the Republic of Srpska and the Kingdom of Norway could cooperate, and expressed assurance that the relations would be further deepened and developed in the coming period.
