The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, has attended today in Banja Luka the ceremony marking April 4, the Police Day, and 30th anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska.


At the central ceremony, which was held at the Training Center in Zalužani near Banja Luka, the Prime Minister Višković said that 782 members of the MoI who had died defending Republic of Srpska should be remembered at the 30th birthday of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, and stressed that all members of the MoI were the guarantor of the security of Srpska.


The Prime Minister Radovan Višković pointed out that the Government was continuously investing in the Ministry of the Interior and that it would continue to do so in the future.


“The Ministry of the Interior should be the backbone of the security of the Republic of Srpska in the coming period as well. Everything that is created by us for members of the Serb people, we want members of other nations in the Republic of Srpska to be provided with the same as well - to live safely, to dispose of their property and to be safe 24 hours a day”, said the Prime Minister Višković.


He stressed that investments in the Ministry of the Interior were exclusively investments in security and easier and more professional work of members of the Ministry.


“Certainly, in the coming days or months, we will change certain legal solutions to protect our police officers and, in terms of their personal safety as well, so that they are maximally protected while doing their job”, said the Prime Minister Višković.


He accentuated that the Government and the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska would provide maximum support in the wish for the Republic of Srpska to be a safe destination in which everyone feels that way.


On the occasion of marking the Police Day, the Prime Minister Višković has attended a memorial service in Banja Luka today, and laid a wreath at the Central Monument to the Fallen and Missing Members of the MoI.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, has attended tonight, at the Cultural Center Banski dvor in Banja Luka, the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the Police Day and the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska.
