Acting Director of the Secretariat for Refugees and Displaced Persons and Migration of the Republic of Srpska Davor Čordaš has signed an agreement with the President of the Serb National Council Milorad Pupovac in Banja Luka today with regard to a 1.5 million KM donation from the Government of the Republic of Srpska for building houses for Serb families in Banija. The Prime Minister Višković, who attended the signing of the Agreement on donation, said that 10 houses for the families who had been affected by the earthquake in the Banija area in 2020 would be built by the Bijeljina company “Steko” and expressed hope that they would be delivered by the end of summer.

“With this donation, a message is sent that we are together in difficult and crisis situations, and that we help and understand each other, and cooperate with each other” said Višković and added that the Government and the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović provided assistance in the form of housing containers earlier.
According to him, the houses are being built at the request of the Serb National Council /SNV/, and the funds have been provided through the Secretariat for Refugees and Displaced Persons and Migration of the Republic of Srpska.

He reminded that the Government and President of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, had reacted previously and sent aid in the form of housing containers.
- We sent housing containers to Banija in order to accommodate those people in any way and enable them to continue to live and function in those areas - Višković recalled.
The President of SNV, Milorad Pupovac, thanked for the donation, and pointed out that the Republic of Srpska has allocated aid for Serbs in Banija in the amount of 1.2 million euros to date.
