The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik has met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH Igor Kalabuhov and discussed all important political issues for Srpska and the last visit to the Russian Federation.

The President Dodik informed the Ambassador Kalabuhov that the meetings during his visit to Russia were very successful and that Srpska showed its importance and strengthened friendly relations with the Russian Federation.

The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that during the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin all important issues were discussed, and that the President of Russia expressed his absolute commitment to support the Republic of Srpska, as well as that Srpska would not be left alone on the political stage.

The President Dodik reiterated the clear, principled position of Srpska when it comes to the introduction of sanctions against Russia, and that in this regard its constitutional position must be respected, which he also informed the President Putin about.

During the meeting, it was stated that the priority is to preserve peace and stability, to preserve the Dayton Agreement, and that an equal dialogue of all parties, without imposing decisions, is the only way to progress in BiH.
