The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, has attended today in Trebinje the signing of the Agreement on the Procurement of Equipment for the Hydro Power Plant “Dabar”, which included the procurement of the most modern turbines and generators.


The Agreement on the Procurement of Equipment for HPP “Dabar”, worth 30 million euros, in the building of the management of “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske”, was signed by the Executive Vice President of Elnos Group from Banja Luka, Borko Torbica, and the Chief Operations Officer of the Austrian company “Voith Hydro”, Reinold Schneider.


Apart from the Prime Minister Višković, the signing was attended by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska Petar Đokić, the Director General of “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske” Luka Petrović, and representatives of the Chinese company “Gezuba”, as a partner of “Elektroprivreda Srpske” in the construction of HPP “Dabar”.


The total value of the HPP “Dabar” project is 643 million KM and will have a capacity of 160 megawatts, and it was announced that it would be completed in five years at the latest.


As pointed out, this was the first such large-scale energy project in the area of former Yugoslavia in the last 30 years.
